Cover Options

What’s covered?
Petsecure pet insurance offer two types of pet insurance plans, with optional Wellness Care benefits that can be added to either plan.

Accident Cover

This is the most affordable way of insuring your dog or cat. Accident Cover is designed to cover unexpected costs of up to $8,000 per annum if your pet is injured as a result of an accident.

Accident & Illness Cover

Provides cover for veterinary treatment costs arising from both accidental injury and illness conditions suffered by your pet. Pays benefits up to a maximum of $12,000 per annum.

Wellness Care Option

This is an optional benefit that you can add to your Accident and Illness cover that assists you with a range of routine and wellness care expenses.

The total benefit payable each year is $145.00.

You can claim $60.00 each year for any one of the following benefits: de-sexing, micro-chipping, heartworm control, teeth cleaning, dew claw removal, council registration fees, prescription diets, alternative therapies, acupuncture, massage, hydrotherapy, behavioural therapy, cremation / burial, puppy training and herbal medicines / treatment. In addition you can claim $30.00 per year for vaccinations or health check, $10.00 per year from heartworm test or blood screen, $45.00 per year for flea/tick/worm control.

What’s paid?
Depending on the option you choose, Petsecure pays either 75% or 85% of eligible vet bills up to the annual policy maximum with no limit on individual claims. To keep things simple, there is NO EXCESS payment with Petsecure.
