Located in the Central Coast, NSW, Claws n Paws Rescue Group coordinator Christina Pirie rescued her dog Zaffy from a rescue group and started as a foster carer in 2010 with the support of her children Tatiana and Huon.  We could see a huge need as the pounds are often overflowing and many beautiful animals are euthanased due to lack of private adoptions or rescues.  In 2011 with persistent nagging and moral support from Tatiana- Christina endeavoured to begin her own group with a goal of providing a highly organised rescue group that offers rescue animals loving care until they are rehomed.

Our focus is on providing all vet treatments required for healthy animals and providing them with a natural raw healthy diet and educating new owners on healthy feeding, training and providing enrichment for their new friends.  Christina has studied herbal medicine for animals as well as massage for animals and uses these techniques along with high class veterinary care for our animals.  Christina is also a registered microchipper and has completed Animal Studies at Tafe to provide her with a better understanding of animal care. Christina has assembled a great group of foster carers that enable us to rescue both adult, juvenile and baby dogs and cats on a regular basis with a view to rehoming them to a forever home.  As the animals in care are in a home style environment they tend to assimilate well into their new families and are often well socialised with other cats and dogs. As Claws n Paws Rescue grows our goal is to provide desexing services to animals in need in our community and support to national and international animal rescue associations.

Tatiana plans to be a vet and have a rural property where we can have lots of foster animals waiting for their forever homes.
